EVE MB31

The EVE MB31 battery cell (314 Ah, 3.2 V) is a top-tier prismatic LiFePO4 cell designed for photovoltaic storage, off-grid systems, and mobile applications, offering an excellent balance of price, capacity, and long service life. This lithium cell stands out for its high energy density and capacity of 314 Ah (1,004.8 Wh), built on the safe LiFePO4 technology. The battery is manufactured from high-quality materials, ensuring a long lifespan.

These cells feature very low internal resistance and good mutual voltage consistency. LiFePO4 is a very safe technology, with no risk of spontaneous combustion, fire, or explosion. The self-discharge rate is extremely low. There is no memory effect – the cells can be recharged at any state of discharge.

All EVE cells are thoroughly tested in the factory both during production and prior to shipment. The EVE brand is known for the high quality of its cells, which are primarily Grade A.

  • Aluminum casing (enclosure)
  • High performance up to 0.5 C, 314 A discharge
  • Delivers high current at peak discharge (0.5 C, 157 A)
  • Up to 8,000 cycles (depending on operating conditions and depth of discharge)
  • Suitable for energy storage and solar applications

Operating Instructions

  • Always charge the cells to full voltage before first use.
  • The initial charge must be performed at a low current of max. 0.5 C – i.e. 157 A for a 314 Ah cell.
  • Protect the cell terminals from contamination, damage, and short circuits.
  • Cells must be monitored and protected against deep discharge and overcharge.
  • Charging and discharging must be carried out under supervision.

Initial Charging
The cells are pre-charged by the manufacturer to a storage charge level (typically 30–50%). Before first use, the cells must be charged at a low current. The first charge should not exceed 0.5 C – for example, for a 314 Ah cell this is 157 A.
When initially charging multiple cells, connect them in parallel and the charger outputs should be connected to both ends of the parallel cell rows.

We recommend using chargers specifically designed for LiFePO4 cells. The first charge and initial balancing of the entire pack is an important step toward achieving a long service life. Alternatively, you can use a regulated (laboratory) power supply as a tool for the initial charge.
